Easter did not induce tummy aches

Easter did not induce tummy aches, but it was a close one.

The kids got up at 7 am and at 7:08 am, Galen came to my bedroom to apologize for "being a bad kid. We did the egg hunt with out you." And basically, it was true. They got up, dumped out the stuff in their basket and whisked through their grandparents house picking up eggs. Raynham was not contrite. "The eggs were right there, mom. I just saw them". No control is apparently not her fault and maybe those eggs just fell into her basket.... Turns out, they weren't so good at finding eggs and Andrew and I had to play Hot/Cold with both trying to find those that were overlooked. Then they went outside and found some more. The hunt was a lot of fun this year.

By 10 am, having realized that my daughter was consuming far more chocolate than she should, she was cut off (or so I thought...). Ray started hiding her eggs for Galen to find, again and again. By 11 am, I was called over to check out what they were doing and noticed a very large pile of silvery wrappers. Checked the basket and there were only 5 little eggs left - is this it??? YUP. At least 20 foil chocolate eggs, a cadbury easter cream egg, and a kinder egg had all been consumed by Ray. "I didn't mean to eat all that chocolate" was her defense. Chocolate was confiscated. Surprisingly, no stomach pains followed the gorging. I felt slightly sick at the thought of eating all of it, but she was fine. Well, except for the sugar high which made her manic. She traded between wildly excited and crying over the course of the day. But I am very sure she did NOT learn a lesson.
